Director's Cheap Tricks @ 25 Crores

Directors who don't have surplus budgets to stylize their films generally use cheap tricks to mimic the ambience. Our man is the most sought after one and yet banking on 'cheap' tricks.

This is the feeling of many Film Folks when inquired about Tollywood's top director Puri Jagannadh and his latest flick. Apparently, Puri is directing Superstar Mahesh in his upcoming movie THE BUSINESSMAN. As per reports, Puri is reportedly charging around 25 crores to direct the movie in both Telugu and Hindi. However, he is canning most of the scenes using Canon 5D camera and some even in webcams. Though it is okay for small budgeted and experimental flicks to use that technology, a regular big-hero's movie will be a disaster with them. Weird angles and blurred scenes never go well with big stars is the opinion of many. A noted review writer felt that Puri is cheating the audiences by wrapping the flick in lesser time and meager money, though he is charging a bomb.
